How often does the band practice and
We start rehearsing for our summer season
around the last two weeks of May,
generally on Wednesdays from 7 to 9 pm
in the Sterling High School band room.
Then, we start our concert series the first
week in June on Wednesday evenings, at
7:30 pm in the Grandon Civic Center
located in Central Park, Sterling. We
perform a total of 10 concerts, going
through the first week in August.

Does the band play any other times during
the year?

Yes, we have an Annual "Pops" Concert
usually the first or second Friday in
January, and an Annual Spring Concert the
last Wednesday in April. We have 9
Wednesday-night rehearsals leading up to
each of these special performances.

The "Pops" Concert is held in the beautiful
Abiding Word church, and for this event
there is the option to partake of a hors
d'oeuvres buffet which includes desserts at
intermission. So you can bring your whole
family to listen to you perform and have a
great night out with no cooking for mom.

The Spring concert also brings with it the
option to enjoy a sandwich, chips, and
refreshing drink at 6 pm before the concert
with desserts at intermission. This concert
is held in Centennial Auditorium, inside
the Sterling High School and also starts at
7 pm.
